The Philadelphia Division is pleased to honor Ms. Stacy Irving for her work as senior director of Crime Prevention Services at the Center City District. With more than 30 years of experience working with neighborhood and downtown business communities, Ms. Irving is internationally recognized for her unique crime prevention models, which combine crime reduction strategies, economic development, emergency preparedness, and police, business, and community partnerships. Her unwavering commitment to building strong partnerships has helped to strengthen her community.

Ms. Irving is also a strong supporter of the FBI, having worked closely with FBI Philadelphia and the FBI Community Relations Unit at Headquarters for many years. After graduating from the FBI Citizens Academy in 1997, Ms. Irving went on to co-found the Philadelphia FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association. She has served as the president of the alumni association and has served on the board of directors of the National FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association since 2004.

Over the years, she has traveled and advised a variety of Citizens Academy groups interested in establishing FBI Citizens Academy alumni chapters. She has served as the chairperson of the FBI National Alumni Association training conferences for the past four years. In addition, she is an active member of the FBI Philadelphia’s Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee and in 2010 helped coordinate a two-part meeting to strengthen relationships with leaders in the Muslim community.

In addition to her outreach efforts, Ms. Irving works closely with the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force on a variety of crime issues in the central business district.
