As the chairman of the Federal Executive Board, Hispanic Employment Program Committee, he has worked to improve Hispanic recruitment in federal government. Mr. DeStefano is involved in multiple volunteer endeavors, including the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, where he serves as a handball, basketball, softball, track and field, and soccer coach. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, refurbishing abandoned buildings in at-risk areas for families in need.
As a result of the contract work he performed during his government service, he was inspired to volunteer with small businesses in the
