Leadership in Police Organizations Program

The Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) training program is based on a behavioral science approach to leading people, groups, change, and organizations.  Program attendees study group dynamics to become more adept at making groups cohesive and better able to reach organizational goals.  The three-week program, typically taught one week a month over three months, teaches participants the behavioral science theories to better understand how to lead individuals, groups, change, and organizations. To obtain information about hosting the LPO program, please contact the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s (IACP) Center for Police Leadership and Training at policeleadership@theiacp.org or (703) 836-6767.
